EU and Lithuanian notaries hold training course on countering money laundering

The Council of Notaries of the European Union (CNUE) and the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, organised a training course “The role and responsibilities of the European notariat in the implementation of the measures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing” on 28 May in Vilnius.

The training course was a part of the EL@N II project. 

Representatives of the Financial Crimes Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania spoke about the regulation of prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, application of the provisions in practice, implementation of the EU sanctions against Russia and Belarus.

Representatives of the notariats of Estonia, Latvia and the Czech Republic shared the good practice of notaries of their countries, and representatives of the academic community analysed the problems of cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency.
